Mine as well, I have semi thick hair and it won’t last more than a day, it gets super frizzy on the top layer but more defined underneath (yes I have layers it still goes flat)

Y’all from one curly girl to another, layers are not your friend 99% of the time. Your hair’s shrinkage will naturally recreate the shape as the outer and front layers are more exposed to elements and will shrink more. Keeping length is key because it weighs the curls down more and fights off a large portion of frizz.

Otherwise, detangle in the shower exclusively. Wring out your hair with your hands when you’re done. Follow up immediately (still wet hair) with leave in conditioner, I like Mixed Chicks leave in bc it focuses on frizz control and definition. Use a serum if you want/have, I personally don’t tbh. Seal it all with a light layer of an oil depending on the THICKNESS of your hair. If your strands are thick, go for something heavier like avocado/jojoba. If your strands are thin, try grapeseed

To make the definition last longer, braid your hair at night and utilize a silk pillowcase. When you’re lounging at home, throw a bonnet on it. The back frizzes up the most (usually) because it receives a lot of friction when you sit against the back of a seat and lay down alongside being the most exposed hair on your head
