My skin is pretty dark so I’d have to get a color test tattooed somewhere to see which colors my body will and won’t take. All the artists I’ve spoken too about getting color have said I need to do this first then come back after 2 weeks to see if the colors I want will work.

Like this is an example. I watched some videos and learned this is important cause tattoos can heal like scars and in darker skin tones scars try to mimic the tone of the skin and eat away at the color deposits making the skin a similar brown color to the original if not the original skin tone
