If recommend a longer post and a good saline cleaning

Put an ice pack on it to reduce swelling, if it hurts spray some bactine on it

Should I let the swelling go down or just go to a piercer and get it changed?

Spray some saline, and use a cold compress to reduce the swelling. At the end of the day though, what’s partially causing the swelling I likely the length of your stud. You need a longer bar, so going to a piercer should be your next move.
