Imma be so honest, I’m chubby too and I only learned about this recently, but some people’s bodies aren’t made for belly piercings because of their body type(usually chubbier builds) I forgot the specific name “something canyon” I think. Cause chubbier bellies can make them reject in a way they usually don’t for skinnier bellies and no one educates us about that fact :(

im just confused on like why she didnt give me the floating navel when i asked. and i wished she would have told me about what she was doing or tried to educate me. thankfully i havent had a bad reaction, just some redness and very minimal irritation. all i can do now is wait :(

go to a different piercer who’s more reputable and get it check out to see if you even have the right anatomy for a belly piercing in general

Yeah I would do what 3 said if you can. As surprising as it is, a lot of piercers aren’t even educated on these types of things. They just provide the service that’s asked for and I think that’s kinda shitty but it’s reality.
