It is so bad. I spent close to $700 on these books alone 😭. Use any scholarships available to you if possible. My torts one was the most expensive ($300) because the professor wrote it himself, and since it was published last year, there are almost no used copies circulating. I appreciate how he wrote it (super smart guy, invented the duo security system, and has a comp sci degree from Yale as well as his JD from Berkeley) but man, the price was not fun.

That’s true! And since we are required two semesters of legal writing for 1L, at least that’s two less books to buy for next semester.
