for shadow and bone i say yes bc i thought the books were boring but i will say s2 gets very far off the mark in terms of being accurately adapted lol

I think that the show is way better than the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but also way worse than the Six of Crows duology. Both series are set in the same world and so the Netflix show combined them. So, it depends!

Definitely read six of crows, but the shadow and bone trilogy was a struggle to get through. The plot lines are a little different for the crows in the show since it’s combined, but the main core of their characters is the same and if you like them in the show you’ll love them in the books

I like the books better. I’m sort of a traditionalist tho and almost never like the tv/movie version better. I think it’s cuz I like my own imagination better with how things look than someone else like a director deciding for me
