I believe the holidays were created by past generations to stave off seasonal depression. I think it’s very important to stay festive during the cold and dark months 😊

in my family, it would still be up until valentine’s or spring break (no one was ever home). it genuinely made me happy as a kid because i could sit in the dark with only the light from the tree

You want her to take it down because the season over 😂. What happened to its multi purpose why it’s still there?

upvote -1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #20 10w

I didn’t ask her to take it down, I was just curious. Maybe they should be multi purpose, that’s just not how they are marketed and I was raised in a “take the tree down the day after Christmas” family. Ngl I wish I wasn’t, a nice soft-lit tree and a book would be a great vibe with all the snow rn 😭

upvote 6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 10w

Honestly I keep it up because of the cold and snow because nothing about the tree screams Christmas. Who knew my tree would spark such hot debate

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 10w

No I know, it’s really not that deep 😭i was trying to head off an argument, but in hindsight I shouldn’t have even responded to the other person. In the nicest way possible, I don’t actually care that your tree is up, it was just a silly question that I didn’t know would get so much attention, and it does look very nice
