Breaking the Silence: Trust, Knowledge, and Demographics in the Reporting of Sex Crimes

I’m a bit concerned they may have not gotten IRB approval for the survey (or at least not for it to be conducted on people outside their school/institution) bc at least every IRB I’ve dealt with undergrad and graduate level required an IRB disclosure section and/or a link within the survey to the IRB’s webpage/email before approval was given. And I’m only concerned bc if they didn’t get that approval and we take the survey, they have to throw out all their data and can’t use it for their thesis
And again this is just based on my experience, we weren’t supposed to have required questions. And a blurb that said “you can stop the survey at any time” within the consent section. Not to mention they were big on anonymous vs non anonymous survey approvals. Non anonymous (like the name in the consent section) had to follow a very strict protocol that this one doesn’t meet.
