I am so sick of people getting judged for reading smut/erotica. “It’s no different than a 🌽 addiction” it very, very much is. I’ve never seen somebody ruin their life or relationships from reading. It’s human, get off your high horse.

I’ve encountered only one ruined relationship from a woman who read too much smut. On the other hand the amount of morons who ruin their relationships from watching porn is through the roof

also the only use of 🌽 is to get off while for smut, most people who read it don’t even get off to it

i used to be wayyy too judgy abt ppl reading smut 😭 glad to say i’ve grown as a person. however i do think if you can’t read a book that doesn’t have spice in it you probably have a bit of a problem lmao

Basically it was a post I’d seen of a woman who had read way too much dark romance and smut and essentially admitted that it had made her start to dislike her boyfriend and resent him because he couldn’t live up to her unrealistic standards she’d gotten from the books she’d read. It had gotten to the point where she wanted to leave him because she found him so boring compared to fictional men. Idk it made me sad tbh

Exactly! But also there’s nothing wrong with getting off to it. It’s just human, and way less harmful than 🌽. And unlike 🌽 romantasy usually involves consent lmao
