Hemingway writes shorter works with really accessible prose. “A Farewell to Arms” and his short stories are really good

Dracula is a good one! It’s engaging and easy to understand. It is a bit long though

If you’re looking for something shorter, The Great Gatsby is only a couple hundred pages, can probably be read in a day or two

I read The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in middleschool and remember enjoying it a lot! The Metamorphosis by Kafka is also a favorite of mine. I Who Have Never Known Men is a bit more modern as it was written in the 90s but still has that classic feel and style. The Picture of Dorian Gray is also good; short and has a lot of interesting events.

1984 is great. Wuthering Heights for an older classic. If you want to go on an absolute bender of insanity there’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
