oh man i loved that book! the year i read it when i did my book rankings it was like fourth place. the pacing is a little weird and i don’t like how the author introduces the story in the first chapter so i get it. i still think it’s worth the read but it has issues. like i wish they went into detail of her time with the demon in new orleans (or was it vegas? it’s been a couple years) cause it was mentioned like twice and it felt like foreshadowing then it was never explained
but i really like the character arcs and the plot idea was interesting. the end leaves you to fill it with your imagination. i wish there was more detail about her time between the wedding night and the present day like what did she do for 300 years. sorry for the essay LMAO i just feel like i never see anyone mention a book i’ve actually read in this group so i had to jump on
ahaha no fr i think the message is there but like lowkey im like how did the author manage to make a life of 300 years seem boring like bsf. she could’ve traveled ANYWHERE specially past the 2000s and a year is 365 days however she manages to visit at most 7 countries which are western europe LOL girl thats not exotic or seeing the world. go to egypt, go to a random island in the middle of nowhere. become a monk and take a vow of silence for a year like you could do SO MANY THINGS
i mean is fine and im sure that how much you enjoy it depends on your moment in your life but the message is good its just very slow paced and not super interesting a lot of times. like im working a 9 to 5 job so i don’t have a lot of time to read so i would rather read something that i find interesting and engaging than this. however if im on vacation i think this is fine
