Cuz Amazon is money hungry and doesn’t care about the consumer. You don’t even own the ebooks you buy, they’re never gonna care ab the sanctity of your device

Not even gonna lie all i did was text their customer support and say “i keep getting innapropriate ads and theres a 4 year old living in my house who sees the screen can you do something about that” and they got rid of my kindles ads for free because of it. Never had an ad since and never had to pay a dime to get rid of them either.

lol they have the cheapest prices for e-readers for a reason... you can always take the ads off permanently for $20 and even then its still the cheapest

well that and, unlike most other companies that sell ereaders, a majority of their revenue doesn’t come from books or book related products so they can operate on razor thin margins and/or losses (not to mention that when you more or less corner the market, even razor thin margins add up)

The point is that if I bought the product that’s worth hundreds of dollars I shouldn’t have to pay to get YOUR advertisement off MY screen
