I finished two days ago. These are some of the best books I’ve read EVER, but now I’m kinda just depressed and a part of me wish I never read them cus this feels awful 🥲

Probably gonna get hate for this but you should watch the movies, they’re a lot better 🫣 honestly wish I could watch them again for the first time and esp if you love the books I think you’re missing out

Honestly I think the movies are good but they left out so much important stuff especially in Mockingjay. I’m still upset about how they cut the whole Johanna arc

That’s fair, I don’t like when movies of my favorite books cut scenes either. For me I just like the pacing/action and ik the books are ya so I don’t really get to judge them for this, but I can’t help but be pulled out of the story by the younger writing style. I loved them in middle school tho and the movies help me relive the feeling/nostalgia without having to force myself to get through the books

Yeah the ending honestly left me a little disappointed with some aspects but there are satisfying parts of the ending as well. As a whole I loved all three books and I fell in love with the characters. I’ve just begun the prequel ballad of songbirds and snakes and it’s so exciting :D
