So I started mistborn a long time ago, got half-way through and I had no desire to see the end of it. I don’t know if I should try a different series by the Sanderson or something or try mistborn again

The stormlight archive is 10x better in my opinion. I still love mistborn, but stormlight is where I started and the one I reread most often. I wasn’t big on mistborn my first read through either, but I feel like attachments to the world gained from other series helped a ton. Some people will tell you not to start with it, but i had no problems with it and don’t see any if you’re already acquainted with epic fantasy

I think you should retry. I liked that first book so much better the second time then the first

I’ll have to check it out. Is it in the same world as mistborn? Like same magic system?

It’s in the same universe, so some characters and ideas overlap (more Easter eggs than plot points). But it has its own completely different magic system and planet. It’s really well designed, and the world building is phenomenal. I feel like I do have to note that each book is quite chunky, and the first one may feel a little slow because of the world building, but it is still my favorite book in the series and it builds up nicely rather than completely info dumping
