It’s not football but it is a sport and super good and long book “Binding 13 “ and “keeping 13” both by Chloe Walsh it’s an amazing book lots of plot

the bromance book club series each has a different sports guy who gets a girl so maybe there’s something in there you’ll like. can be read as a series or standalone (good sex scenes too but that’s not the main focus) with feminist messages and relatable believable characters and good story arcs
