I enjoyed the concept and worldbuilding, but I hated everything else 😭

I just finished it like 20 minutes ago so maybe I’ll stew on it and change my rating but wow I got whiplash from some of the writing. It was beautifully unpredictable

I admit I didn’t like a lot of the characters, now that I’ve stewed on it a bit I’ll probably lower my rating to a 4/5. Honestly wish it was a bit less romantasyesque. Like the relationship was too mainstream feeling for me. I liked it until about 100 pages in and then it just felt a bit bland.
