I’ve always been a huge fan of fantasy/romantasy and recently I’ve been trying to get into more classic literature, but I also kind of want to read a good romance novel. Any recs for good romance books for a girlie that’s not usually super into romance?
Jane Austen is always a good romance classic. You could do Pride and Prejudice or maybe Persuasion

Sense and Sensibility
North and South
Wuthering Heights
Jane Eyre
Outlander

Emily Henry could be good! They’re not really fluffy romances and usually include bigger topics alongside the romances

I was gonna say Pride and Prejudice but it’s already been suggested… I second

Outlander would probably be the best in between to blend classics and fantasy but not be too heavy with the prose. It is long, but I loved it.

I agree with you on Outlander, it would definitely be a good blend that would work well for OP. To OP, if you do read it just be careful and check the trigger warnings, it can get rather dark at times

There were some parts that I had trouble with but it was far easier to stomach than the show (which traumatized me)
