Not trying to rain on your parade when I say this, but I promise it’s not that big a deal. Sometimes you NEED the limited pov to tell a good story. Sometimes you don’t. Readers and authors are allowed to have preferences and that’s not gonna break an industry as big as this one. Do what you enjoy, and let others do what pleases them

So what? I just feel more connected to the main character in first person writing. I still read third person books tho. It’s literally just a preference not the collapse of literature

Literature is dying when we’ve forgotten that POV is a literary device and different stories work better with different literary devices. They’re not one size fits all and artistic choice can have such a big impact on how they present their story and get their themes across

When you read Harry Potter as a child, you didn’t feel like Harry? Third person does the same thing for me, plus it’s not as limiting.
