I joined my local library's summer reading program and one of the activities on it is to read a book recommended by a librarian but I'm so scared to go up and talk to them like that. Like I know that's what they're there for but I'm still nervous

I used to work at a library and so many of the librarians also love romance. It was always silly when I would shelve romance and the people in that aisle would RUN away all embarrassed. Like I get it I would do that too but there’s so many romance books for a reason!! Other people like them too, and if it’s literally in the program to talk to a librarian go do it!!! I’m sure they’ll have the best reccs and be super nice about it
