Anything by Brandon Sanderson or Michael J Sullivan. Also Dungeon Crawler Carl is a great series that’s all the hype right now.

Seconding Sanderson, especially Stormlight. First law is good or the wheel of time has some good development/growth as well

The Everlasting by Alix E Harrow is a good mix of both

I know it probably feels so over hyped but fourth wing got me back into reading this last year but also currently obsessed with Kristen Hannah’s books if you’re insterested in historical fiction at all

You’ve gotten a lot of fantasy rec so I got some classics. If you haven’t read any Dostoevsky, do it, he’s a master of dialogue and story telling, the brothers karamazov is the greatest novel ever. There’s some classics I think everyone should read as well, pride and prejudice, to kill a mocking bird, don quixote, the grapes of wrath, 1984. I could go on forever. East of Eden.

Oh and since no one’s said it, Lord of the Rings is so popular for a reason, I would read that too.
