Thoughts on Red Queen vs Powerless?? I’ve heard the allegations and what not, but I’m just curious which you genuinely preferred. I haven’t read either, but I want to. Should I read one first over the other??

I read the first two Red Queen books and enjoyed them. I haven’t read the Powerless books but I’ve never heard a single good thing about them. If you’re going to read any, read Red Queen because it’s the one that’s not stolen content

Red Queen was way better in my opinion. There’s just a lot of it that is done way better than powerless, and powerless does rip off some of red queen so I dislike powerless for that reason too

I loved red queen and also read the whole powerless series. in my head powerless ripped off the world/class system from red queen, reckless was ripped off of dance of thieves (MY SHAYLA) and fearless was just so confusing I was just so done with the complicated plot twists at that point

They’re both good in their own ways but Red Queen is definitely better. Powerless also isn’t as much as a rip off as people claim.

I must be on the wrong side of booktok cause I only see people talk about how much they love Powerless, I really need to refresh my fyp so I can find more indie authors

Good to know. I know very little about either series, so I just know what I’ve read online.

I’m taking notes, cause I also need to read dance of thieves still I think I’ll make sure to read red queen and such first, and then go from there I only own the first red queen book, so buying the rest will be an investment haha

maybe get them from the library before you buy them!!! people have very mixed opinions on the series. but the dance of thieves duology is definitely worth a read! I read them this year and loved every aspect of the books

That’s a great point! I might have to do that. I own the dance of thieves duology, I definitely hope to read it soon, but I want to read the kiss of deception trilogy first since it takes place before the duology!
