I’ve seen so much debate about third person vs first person these days and I don’t get it. I have no preference for either. People get so picky about it and which one is more “intellectual.” But tbh I don’t give a shit which pov it’s in, I’ll read any
I don’t think it’s about being “intellectual” it’s about comprehension and critical thinking. Preference is fine but not being able to read third person and understand it is super concerning.

I could read an entire book and if you asked me if it was written in first or third person I wouldn’t be able to tell you bc that’s NOT what I’m paying attention to

I know, I mostly read out loud so it doesn’t even matter to me

It’s sad that I pay more attention to the plot and themes than if the author chose to say “I did this” or “Simon did this” 💀 yeah okay hun

I’m saying it’s sad that you don’t know the difference…

Chill out bro, try reading out loud, then there’s no difference between first or third person

Why tf are you telling me that. I just said idc if a book is in first or third POV bc I don’t even pay attention. So.. sounds like I’m saying the exact same thing as you. There’s very little difference between the two when it comes down to it.
