I keep putting off reading The Song of Achilles because it’s a gay tragedy and honestly my entire life is enough of a gay tragedy that I don’t need to make it sadder by reading that book

Then dont say "putting off reading [insert book title]." Just say "I am no longer planning on reading..." and that sounds better

Like it's not just that it's a tragedy that happens to be gay, it's a gay tragedy and that makes it 100x worse (idk if that makes sense)

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I love a book that makes me cry but the themes in that one touched a little too hard💀 if your mental health (esp concerning your own gayness) isnt solid i dont recommend

I’m def not mentally stable or prepared for that so yeah it’s going on the back burner for me. But I do want to read it some day after more therapy
