I wish I could read more McCarthy but after reading the road the lack of like any dialogue tags whatsoever pissed me off so bad I fear I can’t pick up another one of his books

I’ve weirdly gotten used to it, you can kinda just use all the ands throughout his mega run on sentences as commas and it makes it more manageable. The first three chapters legit took me an hour tho I kept having to reread stuff because it was just not not making sense in my head 😭
