Super hot take: iron flame is the best book in the empyrean series. You just have to reread it to realize. Another super hot take: the empyrean series is not that bad

I didn’t think it was that bad. There were some parts in the first book that were a little unnecessary but once I got into it I actually really enjoyed it. I think people focus too much on the bad stuff and not enough on the good stuff in it. I think it gets some unnecessary slander especially in the second and third book

Every second of reading the first book was complete agony. What was even worse: I wanted to like it so bad and kept reading because I wanted to see what the hype was about.

I was told it got better when the dragons showed up. They didn’t really make up for the insufferable human characters. However I did like them, the dragons brought it from a 1 star book to a 2 star book for me

I honestly think I read these books when I was super emotionally unstable because the more I see the Fourth Wing slander the more I’m like “yahhh that makes sense”. So maybe I just got emotionally attached and was a little delulu. Xaden brought it up a star for me

I think people are just super nitpicky. They find potentially valid problems but they’re really small considering 99% of readers don’t notice or care
