It’s more for record keeping purposes. Exclusive editions don’t necessarily always look separate from the regular editions. Sunrise on the reaping for example, exclusive editions look the same except for an extra chapter

The bookstore also doesn’t put them on, the exclusives are already stickered when they get to us

That makes more sense that you guys don’t put it on, however 98% of special editions look different than the original bc that’s the main point of a special edition. I’m mainly just saying we need to stop putting stickers on books :)

B&N exclusives are like 50/50 whether the cover/edges are different. A lot of times they have bonus content inside but the cover is the same

Tbh I’ve only seen 2 that were not different from the original. 90% have different spines, sprayed edges or a completely different cover. I do agree with #1 a special band around the book or even a special bookmark hanging out would be perfect, the stickers have ruined and ripped some of my covers
