Epic fantasy? 👀 I’ve already read of blood and fire and the ember blade, but have trouble finding good fantasy that isn’t mainstream

Yo could you tell me what rotov syndrome is about? It looks cool! Is it comic style or novelette?

It is a novel! It is a scifi story about a woman whose android ex gf shows up needing a place to stay and the chaos that follows. It deals with discrimination issues (androids being dehumanized despite having consciousness and feelings) and a second chance romance with super funny disaster characters. The second book evolves into bigger world issues too!

It’s great!! The author is actually driving from OH to my shop in MO for an author event in a couple of weeks :) so that one’s extra fun to me

Are you looking for series or standalone or either? And do you like darker fantasy? 👀

Preferably series, but really either works for me. And if you’re talking darker like grimdark then yes, but not so much the darker romance fantasies

Okay!! I was asking more grimdark anyway! Metanoia by Juniper Lake Fitzgerald is a great start to a complete trilogy. Epic scales, dark (but not dark romance), and great characters. Faded Moon by TL Morgan (from my table!) is a fun also dark ish standalone fantasy following a dying necromancer. City of Strife by Claudie Arseneault (also on my table!!) is a fun first book in a magicky political fantasy with lots of lgbtq+ characters, honestly gets even better as the series goes.
