i don’t mind the pregnancy trope if it’s done well/ is sort of an epilogue thing (i just hate when it’s in the middle of the story as a plot device lol) but i don’t think cheating ever has any good effects on a story & just makes me want to dnf

My problem with the cheating trope is that the narrative tends to glorify cheating, at least from what I’ve read. Haven’t read many books about how cheating ruins a person’s life, as it often does in reality.

I feel like one times they add it in for absolutely no reason though and it throws the whole story off 😭

I think the only time I haven’t wanted to DNF with a “cheating” trope is it was a love triangle and I got to read the clearly shittier option’s downfall.
