maybe I’m just sooo old and mature now (sarcasm) but I don’t care for smut in a book anymore unless it’s written with great chemistry that’s actually developed like if I only wanted specific smut I’d just go on AO3

i feel this!! i already had that period in my life when i was young and discovered wattpad and ao3. if it’s going to be in a book, it better make sense, be written well, and be between characters with fantastic chemistry. otherwise i really don’t need it. all those scenes have started sounding the same

and also when people say “you don’t know real smut if you think xyz is good” like baby I’ve seen it all atp scouring wattpad, AO3 and tumblr for yearsss and I’m just appreciating the romantic build up (if that’s the case) and the fact that they’re actually written with chemistry that makes sense😭
