Never seen the show but the fmc is constantly under attack and it gets to be a bit much sometimes

unfortunately it is. the first book is told from claire’s pov, so we don’t necessarily see what happens at the end of season one. also, the stuff that happens in the show is the same in the book - like there isn’t any other SAs added to the books if that makes sense. however, we see the characters deal with it a lot more in the books than in the show. 1/2

i think both the books and the show do well with showing the aftermath, but i will always prefer the books since we can see what the character truly thinks, feels, and does. also. the love story is so beautifully told throughout the books that i wish there was more added to the show. another point for books over the show. 2/2
