Review #6: Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb!!! 4/5 ⭐️ This is my first more serious/darker book. And I really really enjoyed the journey. While it does seem like there is going to be a lot of Assassin-ing by the title, I do have to say that there isn’t a lot of action. That was not a negative for me, as the characters felt like their own people, and it is a very character focused book. This is actually the first book in a while, wear I shed a couple of tears. You should definitely read this if you are looking for something pretty grounded, without being super grimdark. Just be prepared, bc our Fitz is going to have a bit of a rough time. Till next time!!!
I think she does have a series like that…. It might be set in this same series, bc there are like, 13 books that connect, just separated into different trilogies and a quartet I think. From just the first book I read, she’s really good at making the world feel real, and this book didn’t feel cliche at all
