I’m finishing it purely so I can write my review with receipts. I’m so sad bc it has a really solid Goodreads score but it’s just so disappointing. And I need to ctrl+F the phrase “Metal Slinger” in the book because I think I’ve seen maybe 2 instances of it and it’s in reference to the absolute piece of wet cardboard that is the Male Lead😔

This book is supposed to be a duology and despite being 40 pages from the end I cannot sense an iota of setup for the second book
