I use it to keep tabs on what books I read for the year! I read really fast, so it's helpful to remember that I did, in fact, read that book already It also helps me pinpoint what books I want to re-read, and if I really liked a book or series (based on re-reads)

i kinda only use it for the ratings, and even then i have a google sheet with more specific numbers. objectively speaking its system isn't the greatest.

Goodreads is more for ratings and reviews rather than recs for sure. It’s not the place I would go for recommendations at all. But if I want to see a bunch of reviews goodreads is absolutely the place for it
