My guilty pleasure is reading one star reviews of literally any book. Seeing the various (usually valid and legit, sometimes just stupid or bizarre) reasons someone hated a book always makes me giggle.

My favorite is someone who rated dune 1 star because Paul was an asshole and unreliable ….yes, congratulations you found the point of the character

when they read like American psycho and give it a 1 bc they don’t like gore. like ?? then don’t read books with gore

Also the guy who rated Brandon Sanderson’s Wind and Truth 1 star because it was “too woke” (it had gay and trans people, like two of the other books did)

Reminds me of when some weirdos were one starring Caught Up by Navessa Allen because it was “too woke” as well. (The main character was a woman who was bisexual and a sex worker, and it had a nonbinary side character)
