the book is good #4 probably thought it was going to be a cheesy dark romance like 50 shades it’s grotesque and brutal like it was intended to be. are the characters insufferable? yeah. but that’s like the whole point of cathy and heathcliff they’re shitty people that can’t get enough of each other

it’s not incest it’s WEIRD because it’s SUPPOSED TO BE but they’re not siblings and they’re raised more like punching bags just say you can’t comprehend literature. you’re dissing EMILY BRONTË for writing in her time period about things happening in her time period you sound dumb.
