All the light we cannot see The personal librarian Neither of these is really depressing but I read both recently and they’re really good

it’s so hard to explain it’s pretty much like a post apocalyptic world where these 40 women are locked together in an underground bunker when one day they’re able to get out and it’s them like navigating the world and trying to figure out why they were there, where they are now, if there’s anyone else, etc etc

it’s told from the point of view of the youngest woman who is like a lot younger than the rest of the women and she doesn’t have a name and she like never experienced the outside world whereas the rest of the women lived normal lives first before the bunker

i did it as an audiobook and it was very lovely to listen to. it’s a lot of just narration and not a lot of dialogue so idk how it would be to read if it would like drag out or anything

I looked into the personal librarian and honestly it’s on my TBR list, I like that it’s based on an actual person
