Audiobooks is a great suggestion. There is also a dyslexic font in Kindle and some other reading apps that can really help! For book recs, I loved Anxious People. Dungeon Crawler Carl is also super easy to get into (not as much my fav but it’s a huge one for getting folks back into reading).
Something that really helped me to get back into reading was comic books. There are so many amazing stories from indie publishers that have the plot complexity of a beautifully written book, alongside incredible artwork that helped my ADHD from making me zone out as much as a normal book does lol. If you’d like any recommendations, lmk🤗
Yay!!! Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing run is top tier for sure. If you’d like sci-fi and/or westerns, East of West is incredible, as is Pretty Deadly. If you’re into something a little weird and funny, Chew and Sex Criminals are amazing. Do you have any specific literary genres that you’re trying to get into?
Okay, so East of West is gonna be a GREAT book for you. It’s a mix of horror, apocalyptic/dystopian, western, and sci-fi. I would also HIGHLY recommend Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing run. It’s DC, but it’s what I would classify as beautiful horror. It goes back and forth between the most eloquent prose you’ve ever read, and perfectly grotesque illustrations. It’s got some superhero elements, but is predominantly a metaphysical horror story.
