Very bloody and violent, but I liked the Indian Lake trilogy by Stephen Graham Jones. It’s loaded with references to slasher and horror movies, and I think at least some of the story actually happens at Halloween. Content warnings for mentions SA, violence (duh), and racist behavior from some characters, among others (the author is Native so racism is portrayed negatively, but it is still there)
