What’re your strategies for reading books you already have instead of getting a bunch of new ones? 😭 I keep borrowing new books from the library or just straight up buying them and I have whole shelves full of books I own and haven’t read 😅

I’m already trying to avoid buying new for a bit (minus preorders) and when I go to the library I make myself use the outdoor drop off so I’m not tempted to browse when I’m done with a book. But sometimes books are on a huge sale, or sound really interesting, and I cave. Thinking about like a randomizer wheel app or something to make picking a book I have more “fun”? Idk, but it’s becoming a problem 😅

I feel this sm,what helped me was making a list and writing a review in my notes app for each book and I can’t add more new books to my tbr list unless there’s less than 5 books on it

Hmm I’m a big procrastinator and I feel like writing a review for every book would feel too much like homework to me, I can see myself not finishing books so I wouldn’t have to review it lol. But I really like the number limit and not adding more until ones gone. I’m currently reading 9 books 🫣 but I’m trying to get it down and keep it down to 5 or so. Maybe out of every 5, 4 then have to be books I already have and then itd be easier for me than cutting out new books all together. Thanks!
