same, it’s such a commitment! if i hear a lot of good things about a series, i will read it, but i definitely prefer standalones as well

i think the reason i hate it is because the genres i prefer don’t really have sequels. so it wouldn’t make sense for me to read them

I agree because a lot of the time I burn out on the story before I finish the series. If I pick it back up I don’t remember what happened.

If I love a story I can do a trilogy but that’s usually it. Except THG and Percy Jackson. I’d read 82736829192873 books from either of those series

Big big fan of duologies honestly. Two books, just enough time for a bigger plot. Trilogies tho?? That’s commitment, you gotta really convince me for that
