Not OP, but Addie LaRue is one of my favorite books! Yes, it has romance, but I definitely would not say that is the main focus of the story. It is ultimately about life, what you make of it, and the effect you can leave on the world even through simple things. This is shown in two characters, Addie and her love interest, who takes a more important role about halfway through the novel. But the core of the story is going through Addie’s life and her struggles with people not remembering her.

Nicely said. I agree with everything #2 posted. It is a beautiful story. Someone on my other post said it was a little slow at the beginning due and I think that is due to the world building. It takes a bit to get introduced and familiar with Addie’s story, but it was made beautifully.
