Probably bc they know they lack it, so they want to tap into both markets. If you know beforehand a book has smut bc you’re in that community, it doesn’t matter if it’s an innocent cover, you’re buying it for those reasons. BUT if you have no clue it has smut, they can still get you if you don’t pay attention, even if you don’t like that
