I’ve got 2 that both mostly fit! Recipe for Confidence features an aroace lead, not fantasy, and values friendship. This one is very cozy. Bloody Spade + Bleeding Heart (duology) is an urban fantasy set in a queernormative world that is VERY about found family, and has both aro and ace MCs. One of my fav series! I couldn’t not mention it even with the no fantasy caveat.

I’ve got a few authors instead of books bc I’m not sure if you’re looking for mlm standalones or series, and these include both! (not sure abt all their personal relationships but at least some of them are mlm) Kellen Graves is fantasy romance (sometimes w horror elements). MN Bennet is fantasy, paranormal, and sometimes contemp. Morgan Dante has lots of horror and religious toned queer romances. Gabriel Hargrave does erotic sci fi. TL Morgan is trans masc and has great mlm vampire fantasy!

Tempered in Ash by Willo Glenn is a sapphic fantasy! The Modern Mythos Anomaly by Juniper Lake Fitzgerald is MMF poly gothic fantasy (their other fantasy series is also queer, veryyy slow on the romance arc). Silver Blood by TL Morgan is great vampire mlm fantasy. For sci fi, PANE by Bailey Elizabeth is a sapphic cosmic thriller (though it is horror genre first, so don’t expect a pretty HEA).

Tempered in Ash by Willo Glenn for WLW fantasy! Of Knights and Books and Falling in Love for mlm cozy spicy romantasy. Rita A Rubin (of Knights author) just released a sapphic vampire romantasy too! I also rec Silver Blood by TL Morgan for mlm vampire fantasy romance. I’m sure I have more but I’m out right now without my shelves

Pretentious is hard bc I think that varies a lot based on personal taste, but always rec This is How You Lose the Time War. Also Our Wives Under the Sea. I’ve heard Devotion by Hannah Kent is great too, but I haven’t personally read it yet. I don’t have as many indie lit fic recs (mostly genre fiction) so I will be on the lookout for more niche!
