It’s actually so gross. People tend to brush aside the rise of smut and porn-culture as nothing but this is an example of it being more normalized. Everything becomes sexualized

I keep getting this with characters I write specifically as platonic or sibling-coded. Go as far as to have them call each other siblings and I still get the “they would make a cute couple” crap

Some people are just into that bro 😭 it really sucks bc 99.99% of the time it makes the creator super uncomfortable and they can’t just… be normal about it. Have to go and make everything weird
