I want to start reading but don’t know where to start. I haven’t read a book since high school. I used to like romance, murder mystery, and sci fi if anyone has any recommendations. Just got a library card

Pride & Prejudice, And then there were none, and Dune are all fun ways to start for those particular genres

What kinds of romance are you looking for? I would honestly start with what you liked in YA and then work up from there. Better Than the Movies is great YA romance and the author writes adult too, so that would be a good transitional read. Cinder and the rest of the series have great romance with scifi elements too. Scyth series is fun, and Skyward by Brandon Sanderson is also good YA scifi.
