Honestly I just read the crossover chapters, there’s enough context in there to not have to read the whole series

It’s arguably her best series! I highly encourage you to finish it!

lol, it’s literally taking me all my willpower to get through the first book. I decided to reread throne of glass instead 😂

Unfortunately I couldn’t do it. I read the prequel and it was meh, but I had the first book so I decided to read it. I hated it. Actually one of my least favorite books of all time. The writing was atrocious and Celaena was an unbearable main character. I couldn’t get myself to finish the rest of the series

Yeah ACOTAR was a fun escapist book but TOG is so much better if u just want the lore written properly and not to live through the characters/romance

you haveeee to read past the first book in tog that’s rule #1

I’ve never heard of that rule. Does it get any better or is the writing and main character pretty much the same? Because if the whole series is just like the first book then I would definitely never read them

If nothing else, it gives a lot of the context that ACOTAR lacks and what the story/lore stemmed from and where it’s headed

it basically goes from feeling like a YA to feeling like a high fantasy once you get to book 3! heir of fire is the turning point that defines the series
