my ex used to manipulate me through romance books, I never liked them but now I can’t stand any romance in books 😭 for other reasons as well but mostly that

Not a hot take at all I 100% agree! I did not mean for it to come off as a opinion about others. If you love to read romance please do! Not every book is for everyone. I just hate romance book because I can never get into them. Platonic relationships are more my style

OP I’m the same way, and I blocked someone on another post when they said it was “unreasonable” to not want to read books w/ romance. #5 is gone now lol. they also downvoted your comment so I imagine they don’t want to genuinely engage with you, especially after what they said to me 💀
