Join NetGalley! You get to read books before they come out in exchange for an honest review. Depending on your state, there might be libraries that let you borrow ebooks and audiobooks to read in you phone (though apps like Libby, Hoopla, and CloudLibrary).

Ebooks are great and I have a ton but scrolling through an ebook library just doesn’t hit the same as having a big full bookshelf (Also I know the answer is probably publishers jacking up the price)

the one i work at usually gets the nice special edition hard backs and everything. you get all the joy of reading a gorgeous hardback without the follies of spending money or having to make space for a bunch of books in your home!
