What is there to get? I think I gave up like a few dozen pages into the 3rd book years ago so maybe that’s part of why I’m not understanding idk

My dad listened to the original trilogy several times when I was a kid and I’ve seen the movies so I’ve got some of it, I’m simply not prepared to READ Part 3 of Mockingjay.

Why do people hate this so much Or anything I say on here. I don’t understand, I suppose I don’t really care that much in terms of thinking others are correct but it’s just so weird and kind of disturbing to see how much people hate everything I say Or like how culture has become so opposed to how I think about the world somehow

The whole post is about revisiting something they read years ago and understanding it and appreciating it on a whole new level. You replied to that by essentially implying there is nothing to get, despite also admitting you haven’t read it in years and never finished it. You added negativity to a post on a topic you haven’t engaged with in years, then called everyone old and made fun of the “disturbing” “hivemind” culture of people being mad at you. That is why you got a negative response.

I knew they would reinforce a lot of things I already believe. I’ve just passed the Sewers in Mockingjay and I’m not ok 😭
