Kinda the opposite- the boy annoys her so much she falls for him (and that kinda spoils the whole book but u can kinda tell from pg 1 where it’s goin tho) happiness for beginners! The movie sucks tho (isn’t that always the case?)

This reminds me a lot of Sorcery of Thorns, actually! I wouldn’t say Elizabeth is ever annoying, but Nathaniel does always jokingly call her a terror

Eh, not 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 the case for movie adaptations. The film adaptation of The Martian was phenomenal. Same goes for basically every Harry Potter film from the third one onwards.
Also the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.
And Jurassic Park as well.

I’d say about 90% of the time you are right though. And even when the movie is good the book is typically still a little better.
